Hi babes! I’ll be reviewing the “I want Kandee” eye liner from Toofaced . This is a long wearing eyeliner, with an angled felt tip. The applicator is a flexi tip that allows a precise application with mess. This was curated by Kandee Johnson. It smells like licorice and is highly pigmented. It is waterproof and dries quickly and lasts all day.
I honestly didn’t expect much from this collection. With that being said this liner thoroughly impressed me. It backs up all the claims. It last all day and even through some tears. I was having a very frustrating mom moment and it stayed. Eyeliner for me is one of those things that I don’t want to spend too much time on. The combination between the pigment and applicator gets the job done quick. The liner is extremely versatile as well. If you want to smoke out the liner it is possible by smudging it before it dries with black eye shadow.
I created a few different looks with them:
Twin Cat Eye
I definitely recommend this product. The price point of $18 isn’t too bad. The only downside is that it is currently out of stock. Don’t fret though lovelies they are planning on restocking this fabulous liner, so don’t forget to grab yours. Till another time babes! xoxo
Hi babes! I’m here to review the eye cloths from Rodan + Fields. These eye cloths are a makeup remover. While you can you any makeup remover for the eyes, I personally like to use make removers that are specially formulated for the eye area. The skin around the eyes is very delicate and its important to take care of it.
Let me tell you a little bit about this product. The eye cloths are supposed to gently remove makeup around the eyes while revealing younger and firmer looking skin. This is a two and one product that is supposed to remove that stubborn eye makeup while combating signs of aging. Each cloth contains peptides that help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It’s also supposed to help with tired eyes and reduce puffiness.
This product for me was a definite no for me. First I where contacts and that does not have an effect on my contacts. However, that is the only positive thing I can say about it. It does not gently remove eye makeup. I have to rub my eyes very hard in order to get that stubborn eye liner off. This didn’t make me feel comfortable at all. The wipes are textured and gritty. I felt like I was exfoliating my eye area rather than soothing it.
You get 30 cloths in the pack and it cost $32. That’s a little over a dollar for each wipe which is not worth it. Maybe it would have been if it backed up its claims. I was sadly disappointed with this product. So far the best eye makeup remover that I always go back to is “Just release me” from philosophy.com and it’s currently on sale for $13.30 original price at $19. It last me for six months and worth every penny. It oil based and safe for contact users. So, save your money and skip Rodan+Fields eye cloths. Till next time lovelies! xoxo
Hi babes!! Here’s another review. I went to Sephora the other day and picked up some goodies. I’ll be reviewing those later. The first thing I tried from my latest beauty haul was this fiber mask by Andalou.
Let’s start on some brief info on the product. It claims to have fruit stem cell complex and resveratrol Q10 which is supposed to instantly hydrate and replenish your skin. It also claims to sooth and plump for a more lifted and firmer appearance. You fine lines are supposed to disappear and you complexion appears to be rejuvenated.
The mask is made of silky soft, non woven, pure cellulose fiber. Its Eco friendly and certified that it is bio-preferred. It also verified to be non GMO and biodegradable. Its 97% derived by nature and gluten-free, vegan, and cruelty free.
My thoughts: It definitely hydrates the face. However, I am not sure if it hydrates the face because of the fruit stem cell and the Q10 or because the mask itself is super saturated in the serum it’s sitting in. I was grateful that I decided to apply the mask over my sink. There was quite a bit of spillage. At first you think is all this necessary but then when you feel you skin afterwards it was worth it.
As far as feeling firmer and lifted for my skin; sort of. My skin felt smooth and firmer but it’s not like I looked like I did some injections or anything. One thing that I really didn’t like was the design of the mask itself. The eyes and mouth holes were very small and I had to stretch them out a little to actually fit it on my face.
It’s easy to use and affordable. This is not a for or against this product. To put it simply this may affect various skin types differently. I would say for $5 give it a shot and see for yourself. Till another time lovelies!! xoxo
“Always be yourself, unless you can be a unicorn; then be a unicorn.”
Hi lovelies!! I’m going to be doing a review on the “Unicorn Tears” La creme lipstick by TooFaced cosmetics. I decided to go with this formula instead of the latex formula because I am not really big on too much shine. This is more of a low-key unicorn look. It has an iridescent shimmer. It’s great for everyday use. This is good to use alone or as a topper. The La creme formula is unique because it is creamy and provides intense hydration. It feels fabulous on your lips.
The reason it is super hydrating is because it contains white lotus extract; which has anti-oxidants that hydrate the lips and provides extra lip conditioning. This formula also contains peptides that help stimulate collagen. This helps give your pretty pout that smooth finish. Another added bonus for this product is that you don’t need to overly coat your lips do get that moisture, one swipe and your lips feel lush. I definitely recommend this product if you going for that everyday shimmer and you don’t want anything too dramatic.
Below I provided a look I did to go with the “Unicorn Tears”. If you want to see a tutorial leave me a comment and I’ll upload a video to my channel. Till another day babes. Stay gorgeous! xoxo
Hi babes!! Today I am going to be doing a quick review on the TooFaced “Better than sex” mascara. I can be very critical of mascaras. I own too many to count. I’m not the biggest fan of falsies, mainly because in the long run they can damage your already pretty lashes. I’m not saying I don’t use them but only for a special occasion or a specific look I am going for. With that being said I like mascaras that make your natural lashes look full and fluttery.
A big tell for me if the mascara is going to back up what it claims, is the wand. This mascara has been in the market for a very long time. They have the regular and the water proof version of it. Both wands are the same on both. I went with the regular one. I had my reservations given because of the size and shape of the wand.
When I find a mascara that works for me; I am loyal to it through and through. However, mascara for me is one of those makeup items that I can’t live without. So, I am always trying new ones and testing them out. My favorite up to this point was the “upward lash” mascara by MAC. I honestly didn’t think any mascara would surpass this. From the moment I tried this mascara from day one I noticed the difference. I am completely in love with it. It backs up everything it claims. It is long-lasting, it doesn’t give you raccoon eyes, and best of all it makes your natural lashes look like you have falsies on.
It’s a noticeable difference. This is a big recommendation and for all those mermaids out there the waterproof is just as good. I was so excited with doing this look I used TooFaced on my entire face.
If you want to see a tutorial on this fall look leave me a comment and I will upload a how to on my channel. Don’t forget to get your very own “better than sex” mascara, they’re also great stocking stuffers. Till next time babes! Stay gorgeous!! xoxoxo
Hi babes! I’m back to give my review on BH cosmetics “Take me back to Brazil” eye shadow palette. This is the second time they dropped this palette. Its amazingly popular. This time however they added 5 extra colors; so, we have a total of 35 colors in this lovely palette. All the colors are highly pigmented and versatile. The palette is inspired by Rio’s carnival. I have provided swatches of all the flashy hues.
I decided to do a red smokey eye with this palette. I figured with the holidays coming why not. Not to mention there really isn’t too many red smoky eye looks posted. If you want to see a tutorial on this look, let me know and I’ll either post a video or a step by step on the site.
Leave me a message or a comment and let me know which kind of tutorial you would like to see. They have all the colors under the rainbow in this coveted palette, which gets sold out pretty quickly. The best thing of all is that this palette is only $16.99. If I am not mistaken it is currently on pre-order. If you want to get your hands on this palette go to: BH cosmetics Till another time babes!! xoxo
Hi lovelies! I am going to be talking about this beauty staple that I have been using for the past year. It’s Clinique even better dark spot corrector and optimizer. Lets first go over what this baby is. First off this is a serum, so you can include it to whatever beauty regimen you have going with no worries. The claims are that it can visibly improve dark spots up to 58% in a 12 week period. To be honest I didn’t bother to track the amount of weeks I have been using it before I started seeing results. I know I just started getting compliments on my skin tone 2 weeks into the regimen. I am on a 3 step beauty regimen but I am not using any other Clinique products. I am using Ole Henrikson and I just added this into it. I just do 1 pump which is enough for your who;e face, a little goes a long way. I put it on after my toner and before my moisturizer. As far as the claims I would back them because I noticed results immediately.
Even Better Clinical Serum is proven to help reverse the appearance of dark spots and blemish marks starting at 4 weeks. In 1 week, see a visibly brighter complexion. Soothing Optimizer keeps skin calm, helping it better resist future darkening. Both are dispensed from a dual-chamber bottle that separates each serum, preserving the purity and potency of the ingredients until right before application. I am the kind of person that when I try something I commit to it all the way, unless I have some type of adverse reaction. I got this bottle in November of 2016 and it just finished. Almost a whole year I have been using it and for $52 I would say it is totally worth the money.
I decided to use this to even out my skin tone because I don’t get much sun on my face. I wanted a more radiant glow. I have a few dark spots due to pregnancy. I figured I would give this a try. Now I am hooked and I am planning buying another one. Some of the key ingredients are, Vitamin C to help reduce the appearance of discoloration; advanced Brightening Yeast Blend to break up the appearance of dark spots; and encapsulated Salicylic Acid and Acetyl Glucosamine to exfoliate skin, speed departure of surface discolorations and enhance cell turnover. Optimizer features our Gyokuro Extract, a specially harvested Japanese green tea extract rich in antioxidants and anti-irritant properties.
If you are like me and want to achieve a more flawless natural look I would definitely fork out that cash to but this. I recommend this to anyone, unless something better comes along. Remember to always use as directed, till next time loves. xoxo
