Hello lovelies! I know it’s been awhile but life does happen. I am back and doing what I love most and that is trying out beauty products and let you guys know whether or not it’s worth it.
I have recently tried this gold mask by Miss Spa. It’s a Hydro-gel facial mask. It is supposed to revive fatigued skin with peptides; while boosting collagen.
This should be a part of an anti-aging regimen. You are never too young to start. Think of it a preventive skin care. Everyone always ask me why I look so young. Well ladies beside staying out of the sun and getting the proper amount of water for your body. You do little things here and there that will only improve your skins elasticity and so forth. Oh and did I mention that smoking is a big no-no! That will make you age very quickly and make you skin look dull.
Well now on to the mask. This mask is supposed to leave you skin feeling smooth, while targeting signs of aging. It is also supposed to help your skin look brighter and younger.
Unfortunately, this mask says it supposed to melt onto the skin. Meaning it sticks on so that it can do its thing. That did NOT happen here. I couldn’t tell you if this mask actually works because it did NOT melt on to my skin. It just keep falling or sliding off, no matter what position I got in. It got so bad that the mask dried out before it was able to do anything.
I have used Miss Spa products before in the past and have been quite pleased. So, I had high expectations for this one. However, this was not the case here. I hope that they can reformulate the mask, that it can better adhere to the skin or something. So ladies and gents, I do NOT recommend this product but if you want to give it a try yourself then go for it!!! Till later lovelies! xoxo
Hi there lovelies! The hair experts over at Ouidad sent me this amazing new system. Let me tell you since day one, I fell in love with it. Here’s why; I live in Florida. It’s the humidity capitol of the states. I am also a mom with 3 kids under 3. I don’t exactly have the time to put a lot of effort into my hair everyday. I wanted the ability to have a good hair day every day. Like usual I always recommend that you follow the instructions.
First you gently wash your hair with the Advanced Climate Control Defrizzing Shampoo. It’s sulfate-free so it’s, tender to those locks. It gives your hair an added shine. It’s the first step in creating an important building block for good hair.
You follow with the Advanced Climate Control Defrizzing Conditioner. This works as a protective barrier that keeps those locks soft and manageable. Besides having wavy hair that frizzes constantly in the Florida whether, it’s damaged from years of color treatment. Curly hair is thirsty for moisture. My hair was down right dehydrated. This conditioner has a mix of Shea butter and Murumuru butter (A palm native to Amazon Rainforest vegetation in Brazil, which bears edible fruits. Murumuru butter, extracted from the seeds of the plant, may be used as a moisturizer.) You work this into your hair with a wide tooth comb. Then you wait 3 minutes and then rinse thouroughly.
At this point is when I usually do a leave in conditioner. However, I wanted to really give this system a shot. So, I decided not to and just go right into locking in that shine with the Advanced Climate Control Detangling Heat Spray. This works to help protect your hair from environmental damage. You break up your hair into sections and work it in with your fingers or wide tooth comb. I forgo the comb for this one. I am absolutely in love with this stuff. It works great and I don’t feel the need to have a leave in conditioner.
The final touch is the Advanced Climate Control Heat & Humidity Gel. Okay, I was down right scared for this one. I am not a big fan of gel. It usually leaves my hair dry and flakey. I wasn’t going to back down at this point. Omg! Ladies This stuff I love it!!! It does not leave your hair dry or crusty. It actually feels quite natural. No one would ever think you have gel in your hair. You don’t even need a lot. You just break up your hair into sections and using the Rake & Shake technique (Link to the video on the technique. It’s really easy). The you can either air dry or blow dry with a difuser. I chose the air dry option. Woila! You’re done, easy peasy ladies & gents!
I definitely recommend the whole system. It’s affordable and keeps your hair looking good everyday. Till next time lovelies! xoxo
It’s never too early to begin great skincare.
It’s never too early to start a good skincare regimen that targets the first signs of aging. Think of it as preventive care for your skin. Usually the first signs of aging start in the eye area. I mean it makes sense, since it is the most delicate part of skin. The wonderful people over at Exuviance sent me these eye masques, which I totally love. The price for this is $49 and it the box comes 12 packs. This is definitely one of those products that is worth the money.
The eye masques firm and hydrate the eye area while enhancing cell renewal and minimizing the look of fine lines and wrinkles with Lactobionic Acid and Vitamins A, C and E.
- Lactobionic Acid refreshes and soothes
- Bionic treatment firms skin around the eyes, reducing the appearance of crow’s feet
- Vitamins A, C, and E provide antioxidant protection and restore skin
Make a spa day out of it! Now if you wanted to kick things up a notch they have a 3 step systems that works implement the eye masques in the routine.
Of course always start with a clean face. Make sure the eye area is thouroughly dry. First start with the Depuffing eye serum. You see a major reduction in puffiness around the eyes within 4 hours. It targets puffiness and undereye bag. It also helps firm the skin around the eye area, including those lids. The micro-roller helps increase the circulation which helps with the production of collagen. There is caffeine in it which helps invigorate the skin. With hints of Chamomile, Green Tea and Cucumber refresh the eye area.
You follow with the Intensive Eye Treatment Masque. Remove the masques from the packet. There should be 2 inside. They are saturated but no worries, it won’t get in those lovely eyes. Gently place the pads underneath each eye. I put it as close as I could to my water line without becoming uncomfortable. Smooth the pads onto the skin. The stick on pretty good, so, you could go on about your business. Leave the pads on for 10 minutes. Gently remove the pads and discard; gently massage any excess solution.
Final step would be to follow up with the Hydrating eye complex. I love this stuff!! It’s super light and if your like me and suffer from dark circles; then you’re going to want to include this in your regimen.
- Formulated with Gluconolactone and Lactobionic Acid (PHAs)
- Provides antioxidant protection
- Contains Vitamins A, C, and E
- Hydrates with a soothing blend of botanicals
I definitely recommend the all three products. However, if your looking just to refresh those pretty lids the masques alone will do the trick. As always I recommend you use as directed; which using the eye masques 2 to 3 times a week.
Still not sure? Below I posted a before (top) and after (bottom):
As always lovelies tell me what you think? Share you thoughts and comments. Till another time! xoxo
This is a great transitional look for spring/summer. The main focus of the look is the coral lips with a warm smokey eye. Create this look:
I started with a clean face of course. Once my face was ready, I began with my primer. Lately I’ve been using Prime Light from Milani. This my favorite drug store primer. It gives off a strobing effect while minimizing your pores.
I’m olive tone and have a yellowish undertone; color correcting is a must for me. I started with L’Oreal’s Visible Lift eye CC cream in Light. I naturally have dark circles under my eyes and this works well for it. This also helps fill in those fine lines. For the rest of my face I used Almay’s CC cream in Light/Medium. By the time I am done I have an even complexion with a natural blurred effect. Did I mention both of these products you can get at your local drugstore? This contains SPF35 for that added protection.
My foundation is another drugstore haul. Its Wet N Wild’s photofocus foundation in Bronze Beige. This is one of the best photogenic foundations that has recently come out and completely affordable. It’s a medium to full coverage and definitely buildable if you need it. I followed with a Nyx HD concealer in CW04 (Beige). It goes on really creamy and blends really well. It’s minerally enriched which gives it that photogenic quality to it. I set everything with Drew Barrymore’s cosmetics line Flower Beauty’s loose powder in L02 (Light). This is a pretty sheer powder and set everything nicely.
Moving on to those pretty lids. I used a primer by Elizabeth Mott called Thank Me Later. Make sure you don’t have anything on your lids prior to the application, if not it will get all clumpy. Once your lids are set, I used the Natural Matte Palette by Too Faced. I absolutely love this palette. Its my go to palette for those natural, warm looks. I started with Risque and worked into my crease; make sure to blend this out for the smokey effect. I followed with Sexpresso on the outer corner and blended it inwards. I used a pencil brush to apply some under my waterline. I patted Heaven on the inner corners and inner lids; make sure their it slightly blends with the darker colors.
For my eyebrows I filled them in slightly with Benefit’s Ka-brow in #6. I wanted to keep them natural, so, I feathered it light across my brows. I cleaned them up with Tarte’s Tartiest Contour Palette. I used #2 (corrector) and brushed it around my brows. I set my brows with Rimmel’s Brow This Way eyebrow gel in clear. I lined my eyes with Bobbi Brown’s gel eyeliner in Espresso Ink. I also darken the color under my waterline with it as well. It really tied the whole look together.
I went back in with Tarte’s contour palette and cleaned up around my eyes with #2. For my bronzer I used Milani’s baked bronzer in #04 Glow. This gives you that golden goddess bronze, something to have for the summer. For my blush and highlight I used Tarte’s contour palette. This blush gives my skin tone that naturally flushed looked. While the highlight is a muted matte, it accentuates the features just right while still looking natural. I don’t always use falsies, I used mascara only this time. I used Make Up For Ever’s Smokey Extravagant mascara in black. If you’re not careful with this it will clump, I advise do NOT use too many coats, two each sufficed. Last but not least, I used Paris Manning’s line Velvet59 of lipstick from the Malibu Sunset collection in Coral Canyon.
Let me start with anything cucumber is so soothing for me. Naturally I would want to try “Cool Eyes” from “One bath & body”. I naturally have dark circles (damn those genes). It works like a fiber mask but for your eyes. When you open the packaging, there are two small little masks that go over your lids. It is already saturated in the formulation. One bath & body designed the little mini masks quite well. They resembled little cucumbers that over your eyes. The directions were pretty vague as to what to do once you take them off. I just lightly rubbed it in, in circular motions. Overall it was a pretty good product. My eyes felt refreshed, I’m not all too sure on the combating those under eye halos though.
I was so excited to receive this crate. I had seen sneak peeks and let me tell you, it was getting me anxious. Well it’s finally here. Lets go through each one. Lets begin with the packaging. #Lootcrate as always has wonderful concepts with all their packaging. I am a subscriber for both #Lootanime and their #Sanriocrate. I am a little bit on the addicted side of subscription services. This month’s crate theme was “friendship”. They definitely nailed it with all the products and packing. Every month their boxes turn into something and for this month, it turned into a mailbox, it was super adorable.
The first thing I open of course are the mugs of Hello Kitty and Daniel. The colors were superb for a spring box. The pastel colors really complimented what I opened next. Which were the two small plushies of Hello Kitty and Daniel. They fit just right in the mugs and unlike the pastel colors, they were a bold red and blue combo. They pair are just lovely and sitting pretty on my desk.
Next was the infinite scarf. I loved this too. I have not tried it on yet. I live in Florida and its summer. No way! However, come the 3 seconds of winter we get here, I will be rocking the hell out of that scarf. The scarf is gorgeous. The material is light and something that I can wear down here. Its practical in color as well. Black goes with everything. For being an eye-catching accessories, I am glad that it isn’t too loud with a super-duper amount of character all over. The Twin Stars are the characters for the scarf. The twins are sprinkled through the scarf without overkill. Furthermore, they are just outlined with a holograpic effect that makes it look mesmerizing. Its pretty stunning when worn just right.
Omg! The pin set!! They are just adorable. The pair featured for this was Patty and Jimmy. I am not really familiar with them but the pin set was beautiful. The craftmanship was wonderful. Then there was a Melody charm. The charm was so cute and I added it to my key chain. Last but not a least a cute little stationary set to write letters to your friends. I have that too on my desk. It’s just the cutest stuff. I really loved this months crate and I am looking forward to many more.
I don’t nessecarily have curly hair, however, I don’t have straight either. Honestly my hair is hard to manage and half the time I just want to put my hair up in a top knot and call it a day. On other days I just want too chop it off.
I first learned of the brand Ouidad through Ipsy. I have a subscription addiction, lol. Nevertheless, I tried this little sample oil they sent. Its supposed to help with frizz. I looked up their site and noticed for the most part everything is for people with curly hair. Don’t let that scare you though. You don’t need a ringlet of curls to use them.
Ouidad climate control gel is what caught my interest. My hair is curly/wavy. I am not sure how to describe it. Not to mention the years of damage that my hair has taken. What can I say? I get bored. Then I live in Florida, which is the humidity capitol of the US. I have a lot of things going against me here.
Now here’s the real deal… You HAVE to use as directed if not it won’t work as well as it should. Just simply applying to damp hair, and scrunch while drying with a diffuser is not going to cut it. Here is a quick step by step:
- Divide damp hair into sections.
- Spread a nickel size dallop to each section.
- Begin at the nape of neck and rake fingers through under sections.
- When finished, hold the ends of hair in each section and shake to create the curls.
- Let hair air dry (My option… I’m just lazy) or blow dry with a diffuser.
This product has changed my morning rouines tremedously. I feel like I can just get up and go. I have 3 under 3 and time is definitely a commodaty that I wish I had more of. This little product is something that does just that for me. Why sacrafice beauty or motherhood? I like to have my cake and eat it too. Everyone should!!! xoxoxo
